2019TSUBAKIの場づくり

都会の暮らしの中で自然本来の姿を感じられる屋内ビオトープは植物と水、魚の生態系。

日本の山の景色を身近で楽しむという発想から生まれたことから、「OYAMA」と名付けました。景色を切り取り、いつもは見逃してしまいそうな植物や生物の様々な営みが凝縮されています。シダ植物や広葉樹など日本の山で見られる多種多様な植物が生育。
中央の窪みには水を張り、メダカなどの魚が生息しています。

2019年に制作したOYAMAは、下に車輪が付いていて動かすことができます。植物育成ライトで光を補充することで、50種類以上の植物たちが屋内で健やかに育っています。

OYAMA ーBIOTOPEー

The larger of two indoor biotopes comprising plants, water, and fish, offering the experience of nature amid the milieu of city life. The name “OYAMA” was born of the idea of keeping an image that speaks the language of the Japanese mountain (yama) close at hand. Gleaned from the natural view, the small, generally overlooked interactions between flora and fauna are concentrated here in its great variety of living hardwoods and ferns found upon Japanese mountainsides. The central hollow is filled with water, supporting small fish, such as the Japanese medaka.

This OYAMA installation, produced in 2019, sits atop wheels, making it portable. Its more than 50 species of plants will thrive under growth lights.
